The majority of women we select are mothers- or grandmothers- who areconsidered to be influential members of their villages. Their natural leadership qualities enable them to return to their communities to spread their new knowledge with confidence and clout.
Literacy rates are a non-issue in our specially-designed Solar Curriculum; illiterate and semi-illiterate women are encouraged to enroll and are trained absent of language or reading barriers, graduating with their peers regardless of their prior educational backgrounds.
To co-create sustainable solutions we consider the topographical habitats of women trainees to ensure specific needs, such as access to water, health, and potential livelihood programs are implemented in the right context.
